Walking the History of Brittany
Wendy Mewes writes both fiction and non-fiction, with historical research forming a large part of most of her projects. She has travelled all over Brittany in recent years researching books such as 'Things to see and do at the End of the World', 'Discovering the History of Brittany' and a guide to the Nantes-Brest Canal. Her interests are in travel, history and identity in the context of non-fiction, and every day magic in her two novels 'Moon Garden' and 'The Five of Cups'. - 'Laura... My Miracle Mosaic'
Authoress Gaye Fish is coming to Thématique to discuss her experiences in self-publishing her work 'Laura... My Miracle Mosaic'. Gaye's daughter, Laura, was born with Mosaic Trisomy 18, a serious genetic disorder for which there is no cure or effective treatment. The book describes Laura's disorder and Gaye's struggles with the system to ensure that Laura's needs are provided for.
